Par 5
527 | 521 | 502 | 396 yards
After finishing the 6th hole you must climb up the rugged stairs cut into the hillside.
At the top, another beautiful tee shot on the second par 5 of the opening nine awaits.
Water frames the left side of the hole from tee to green. The tees are cantered at an angle from the fairway. While the fairway runs straight, from the tees it plays as a dogleg left. A large bunker sits on the left edge of the hole at around 200 yards from the tees.
Down the right side a sea of sand defines the other boundary of the hole. After teeing off you descend down to the sand trail between the mounds.
The walk on this fairway offers some great vistas to the surrounding hole. The following two shots are looking right of the 7th fairway.
This shot shows a rarity- a cart on the course!
This is the look for your second shot. A series of bunkers scatter across the rippling fairway about 180 yards out. This is definitely a green light hole on your second shot. Past these cross bunker sentries, the hole is fairly open. A series of bunkers do run down the left side of the hole at about 120 yards from the pin. Miss those and you will have a good look in.
The green is tucked way off to the left. A massive landing area to the right of the green is a good place to bail if attempting to get onto this green in 2.
The green is tucked behind a single bunker short. It is also protected on the right by a small mound that retains its scruffy natural vegetation. To the left edge of the green several bunkers sit between the green and the waters edge.
Once more a very deep green. This one is around 60 yards front to back!
One more view back down the hole from the 8th tee shows the bunkers guarding the green's left side.
