Streamsong Blue Hole 4

To see the entire write up go here

Par 4
442 | 417 | 369 | 325 yards

The fourth is a long par 4 with a wide open tee shot.  Down the left side of the hole a series of three bunkers will swallow anything hit there.  Beyond these bunkers, and also running down the right side is a meadow of thin grasses.

The best line of the tee is probably right at the large bunker you see in the fairway down the middle.  This line will give the best approach into the green on your second shot.

Your second shot is a true test- the firway rises abruptly  50 yards out to a ledge where the green sits.  The rise is protected along most of its length by three bunkers.  Anything hit short left will find the sand.

As you walk up the fairway, to the left you can see some of the dangerous bunkers around the greens.  Obviously, these should be avoided at all costs.  Your chance awaits here on your second shot to clear the bunkers fronting the 4th green.

The bunkers short left are just brutal.  If you get in them, good luck getting up and down.  At least they give you some stairs over there as you mountain goat it around.

Your approach will be blind to the elevated green.  Once you clear the ridge it is unguarded by other hazards.  Playing long here is far better than short.  This green is perhaps the flattest one you will encounter on the Blue.

A view of the unprotected green.  Plenty of distance exists behind and to either sides of the green.  While these collection areas are below the surface of the green they are all essentially flat extensions of the green.  If you can judge the uphill run onto the green playing from these areas should not be a problem.
