Par 4
500 | 472 | 450 | 407 yards
The 12th is a long sweeping dogleg that curls to the left. Off the tee a string of bunkers is visible down the left side while the right side is wide open.
Trying to cut anything off around the corner is not an option, as it is way too far. The best play to hit at the bunker to the right of the fairway. This angle will provide the best angle into the green.
For your second shot in you must avoid the left side with its sandy edges, large bunker, and trees lining that side. Down the right is no easier challenge with a line of bunkers that begin around 80 yards out and stretch past the entire right edge of the green.
As you approach the green, about 130 yards out the fairway rolls downhill. Half of this hill is uncut rough. Only the left half of the hill remains fairway.
Hitting into the green, offers room to bail left of the green, but no such accommodation is given on the right- where the line of sand hugs the green, and beyond water encroaches into the hole.
A view from behind the green looking back up the hole. You can see there is room to miss long and left, just not to the right.
This is a tough hole. I played it as a three shot hole, hoping to one putt once on the green. For once my strategy paid off. I secured a tough par.
