Streamsong Blue Hole 1

To see the entire write up go here

Par 4
338 | 330 | 330 | 289 yards

The first hole on the Blue course is behind the clubhouse, to the left.  The tee is atop the highest point on the property, a 40-50 foot high dune that offers a commanding view of the course in all directions.  Leave your bag at the bottom and start the climb to the top with your choice of clubs.

The view off the tee is amazing, and a bit out of character with the rest of the course as you will soon discover as you play on.  From the tee you have 2 options, lay up short of the cross bunker encroaching from the left, or try to carry this trouble or thread it down the middle.  Laying up short will leave a long (190 yard) shot.  Carrying the left bunker is 210 on the fly (less with the tee elevation).

Before you leave the tee, take a gander around you.  Behind you is the clubhouse and the below is the "Bye Hole".  Ahead and to the left lay both the red and blue courses.  Off to the distance on the left is the home of the new Black course.

Exquisite golf stretches to the distance from atop the tee box.

The best view off the tee may be straight ahead of you.  The first hole stretches off to the distance with the hole to left of the far central bunker.  Behind the hole is the 2nd hole (on the right) and the 17th (on the left).

The fairway as you approach the bunker on the left that juts into the fairway.

The shot into the green is a blind shot located over the left side of the central bunker/mounding.  I hit a great shot from the left bunker from about 120 out onto the green, completely blind.  The green is a large oval, around 40 yards in each direction.

The green is ringed by a bunker on the left side, and another one a fair distance from the green on the right. That bunker is only in play if you don't know where the green is from the other side of the hills.
