2015 WILL BE EPIC!!!

The 2015 golf season is still far away for us Minnesotans but as I sit here, I am so excited I can't wait!  For me 2015 is going to be an absolutely epic year for golf.  I am infinitely blessed to have been afforded the ability to plan 2 trips already.

In February I will be heading down to Florida with my Dad on a golf trip.  While the chance to play golf with my Dad is special enough, I get a chance to play some of the top courses in the state (and country)

Here is the rotation I get to play:
Waldorf Astoria (# 36 in the state)

Streamsong Red (#1 in the state, #18 public course in the US)

Streamsong Blue (#3 in the state, #24 public course in the US)

Grand Cypress Resort -New Course (# 33 in the state)

Orange County National Golf Center- Crooked Cat Course

What a line-up!  I am especially excited about the Streamsong twins.  Those courses just look utterly fantastic...

Now as if that isn't a great enough reason to be pumped for the upcoming year, it gets even better for me!!!

In May, it is off to the Emerald Isle.  For my 40th birthday my wife shows once again, why she is the greatest person on the earth.  I get to play:

Old Head (#55 international course)
Some call it the most beautiful 18 holes in the world...

Lahinch (#23 international course)
Designers include Old Tom Morris and Alister MacKenzie.  Enough said.

See what I mean?

EPIC.

Happy 2015

A new year is upon us.  As I write this tucked safely away in my house as the winds blow outside with wind chills in the minus teens, here is to a warm successful golf season ahead.

I had the good fortune to spend new years in Ixtapa Mexico.  Sometimes during the long dark winter it is hard to remember there is still warmth in the world.

Here is a little reminder, taken of a hole on the Campo de Golf Ixtapa.  The course has new white bunkers since last March.  The best part about it though is standing barefoot on the beach :)
