The Meadows at Mystic Lake Casino, located in Prior Lake, MN, recently did a renovation to their bunkers that left the course closed until June 1 of 2017. However finding yourself in one of these newly refurbished bunkers isn't the only hazard you face. New this year is dynamic pricing introduced for green fees. Fees just last year were $65 but now I have seen rates as high as $160 to play here! It appears the "standard" rate in the summer is $100 and down to $60 for "twilight".
$160? That is way too much for this course. I don't know if they are trying to make up for their spring revenue losses, with the course closed, with higher prices this year or if they actually are going to keep this price hike permanent.
I like this course, it is always maintained very very well, but at those prices it is out of my rotation.
While some other local daily fee courses are in this ballpark (Rush Creek, Troy Burne) I would consider those to be a cut above.
